About me
Adrian Cockcroft is a technology advisor to Nubank and a former Vice President at Amazon Web Services, where he focused on building customer relationships and supporting the global technical community. During his time at AWS, he keynoted more than 20 AWS Summits worldwide, presented on both technical and leadership topics, and built the open source community engagement team.
He later moved to Amazon Worldwide Sustainability, where he led sustainability marketing for AWS, contributed to the Amazon Sustainability Data Initiative, supported the rapid growth of sustainability-focused teams, and helped author and launch the Well-Architected Sustainability Pillar.
Adrian has spent decades working at the leading edge of technology, with prior roles at Cambridge Consultants, Sun Microsystems, eBay, Netflix, and Battery Ventures, and as a board member at Trifork. He began coding more than 50 years ago and holds a degree in Applied Physics and Electronics from City University London.
Today, Adrian advises companies, speaks at conferences, and provides occasional consulting and analyst support across cloud, sustainability, and modern technology practices.
